The sixth grade program uses the Catholic Connections curriculum by St. Mary’s Press. Each session begins with a community gathering time of 2nd-6th grades where a common topic is discussed, we sing praise to God and we pray before we break out into small grade-level groups in a classroom setting. Each child will receive their personal Catholic Connections Handbook and they will use this handbook from 6th-8th grades. Sixth grade catechists will explore in-depth with their students the first pillar of the Catholic Church, the Profession of Faith (the Creed). They will explore Revelation, Sacred Scripture, and Sacred Tradition in light of our Catholic faith. They will study the person of Jesus Christ and the role He plays in our Salvation.
