Note: Parents, please do not select Home Faith Formation if your child will be entering 1st Reconciliation, 1st Eucharist or Confirmation Prep as these Sacramental Prep Years must be done in the weekly in person classroom. Thank you!

Tuition waived for catechists; classroom aides and office volunteers with children in the program pay a 50% discounted rate.

Faith Formation Options grades PreSchool-8 and Confirmation- 9-12

This year we will be offering our youth catechesis curriculum,“Finding God,” from Loyola Press. Embracing the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola, Finding God provides all the tools to engage the whole child—mind, heart, and soul—uniquely guiding children to engage with Scripture, practice prayer and reflection, and to find God in all things. Weekly Faith Formation is a time where children come together each week (all dates on the schedule) to develop an understanding of the topics presented by catechists and to grow in faith together through discussion, application, and service. We will also offer our Montessori based program, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS), for both Level One (ages 4-first grade) and Level Two (ages 7-9). Please note that Level Two does not include First Eucharist and First Reconciliation preparation.” Home Faith Formation is not available for Sacramental Prep Years – 1st Reconciliation, 1st Eucharist or Confirmation Prep.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) Level 1 – Preschool / Kindergarten

This class is open to children age 4 (by Aug. 1) or Young 5’s. and Kindergarten.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) Level 2 – Ages 7-9

This class is open to children ages 7-9 years old, however does not include 2nd Grade Sacramental Prep. Class size is limited to 8 students.

(3) Select the appropriate sub-fund (for example FF-2″ for two children)
(4) Enter the amount for your selection (included in the name of the sub-fund) then Click Submit.
(5) Or you may pay by cash or check, payable to “St. Joseph Parish”. Return to the parish office by mail or in person at 6805 Mast Rd., Dexter, MI 48130 or by dropping in the Sunday collection basket in an envelope addressed to the attention of Faith Formation Office.
(6) Scholarships are available. It is our policy to provide Faith Formation to all children in the parish, regardless of a family’s financial circumstances. If you are unable to pay tuition, please contact Katie Liu or Don Dalgleish at Faith Formation Office (734) 426-2674.
