Becoming Catholic

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)

Let us join you on your journey of faith.

What is RCIA and Who Comes?

The RCIA process is for all those who are interested in becoming a part of the Catholic Faith.  If you are baptized in another faith, not baptized at all, baptized Catholic but never, or only as a young child, practiced the faith we would like to invite you to join us in the RCIA process.

RCIA is an ongoing process and therefore we have no start date for those interested in Catholicism.  We will run an RCIA session throughout the entire year.  We have a summer schedule which meets every other week from mid-June to mid-August.  From mid-August through mid-May we will meet weekly.

All sessions will be held in Mary’s Room which is on the lower level of the Parish Office located at 3430 Dover on our Village Campus.

If you are interested in taking a look at the Catholic Faith please call Marinell High at the Parish Office at 734-426-8483.

RCIA Adapted for Children

If you have a child over the age of 7 who is baptized in another faith, not baptized at all, or has had no faith formation we would like to invite them to take part in the RCIA process adapted for children.  Children who are baptized Catholic and in 3rd grade or higher and need to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and/or Eucharist would also take part in the RCIA process.

Please call Marinell High at the Parish Office at 734-426-8483

If you are interested in the Catholic Way of Life please contact Marinell High at 734-426-8483 or marinell_high@stjos.com to set up a time to talk.
